Brent Terhune

Characters, voices, one liners, and time-tested monologues-comedian Brent Terhune is the embodiment of all these things and more. Not many comics can pull off Brent’s laid-back style of comedy and still remain just as absurd and funny, but equally relevant and relatable at the same time. Currently, Brent is a writer for the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Radio Show (he’s been on the show, too) and he’s the creator, writer, and illustrator of the Uncle Frank comic strip. He’s performed at the Laugh Your Ashville Off Comedy Festival (2013), The Limestone Comedy Festival (2013), The Cleveland Comedy Festival (2013, 2nd place), and Gilda’s Laugh Fest.

Mike Szar

Mike Szar has survived dating, dead-end jobs and a questionable college career in the wilds of Ohio.  He's distilled what he's seen and learned into a dark, smart and quirky comedic vision that finds the universal humor in everyday angst. One of the hardest-working comics in the Midwest, he's opened for Brad Williams and Bobcat Goldthwait, and toured regionally.  His exasperated, but hopeful observations have made him a comedic talent to watch from the fertile rust belt comedy underground.

In addition to being a regular on the nationally-syndicated Bob and Tom Show show with nearly 250 appearances, Dave has also appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, and @Fox. He has been headlining theaters and clubs nationwide with his "Dugans Aren't Losers" Tour.

Zach Martina

A supportive family, a loving relationship and kids who adore him, that’s the American Dream. Unless you’re Zach Martina, then it’s a recipe for skepticism and anxiety. Using his sarcastic wit, creative wordplay and a loveable arrogance, Zach brings his big personality to crowds across America as they wonder: “I don’t know what he’s freaking out about, but it’s pretty funny.”

Performing at clubs across the country and at events such as the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, The World Series of Comedy and the Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival, Zach has had the good fortune to share the stage with the likes of Dave Chappelle, Flight of the Conchords, Hannibal Buress & Rory Scovel. Natalie Jose

NATALIE_INSTA.jpg

Natalie Jose is a modern woman trying to have it all: stand-up comedy, singing, drinking, and unfulfilling sex.  A self-proclaimed “party girl,” Natalie rarely knows when to stop and never learns a lesson.  Natalie has vamped her way up the ranks of Chicago comedy to become one of the most beloved comics in the city.  Audiences are endeared to Natalie’s self-deprecating charm as she puts her own lifestyle under a microscope, with a stage persona that’s both personal and silly.

Natalie is a regular at The Laugh Factory, a cast-member of Chicago Underground Comedy and showcased in the top 100 of Last Comic Standing Season 9 on NBC.  She also performed at Oddball Fest 2015, opened for John Oliver at the Chicago Theatre, and was recently named one of the top up and coming comics outside of NY and LA by Splitsider. She was also featured on the OWN Network as one of five comedians in the TV Pilot “My Life is a Joke”; she “played” the drunk one.

Josh has been featured at the Cincy Brew HaHa Comedy and Beer Festival, and is a regular emcee at Go Bananas Comedy Club, where he's worked with the likes of Joe List, Ryan Stout and Tom Dustin. Laura Sanders & Michael Meyers

LAURA_MICHAEL_INSTA.jpg

Laura Sanders pretends she’s not a graphic designer by day. She’s performed stand-up across the country and has been featured on Fox's LaughsTV. She has also been part of such acclaimed lineups as Chicago’s Comedians You Should Know, LA’s Hot Tub with Kurt and Kristen, Bloomington's Limestone Comedy Festival, Wilmington's Cape Fear Comedy Festival, and New York’s She Devil Comedy Festival. She's also enjoyed sharing the stage with comedians such as Kyle Kinane, Rory Scovel, and Sandra Bernhard.

In addition to stand-up, Laura Sanders has joined forces with fellow comedian Lisa Berry to create the sketch-comedy duo Berry Sanders. Born out of years of writing Monday Night Live, a monthly sketch comedy show, Berry Sanders videos have been featured on Funny or Die, Ryan Singer’s FlickMyClip festivals, and can be seen as a regular part of the sketch channel iFriendsandMy.

Laura's Website | Twitter | Facebook

Michael Meyers started doing comedy in Columbus in 2010. He was a finalist in the Columbus Funny Bone talent search, as well as a finalist in Go Banana's "Funniest Person In Cincinnati" comedy competition at the semi-pro level. He has taken his comedy through the mid-west and down south to varying degrees of interest. Located in Chicago now, Meyers plans to release his first album in February, "Michael Meyers: No Don Draper", which was recorded in his comedy birth place of Columbus, OH. Meyers hates writing cover letters, therefore this paragraph highlighting his supposed strengths is a testament to the undying will of the human spirit.

DJ Dangler

DJ Dangler grew up in a small Midwestern town. Being the youngest of six kids, he was essentially ignored until his father realized he was probably big enough to be good at football. He graduated from college and moved to New York City. DJ knew he eventually wanted to go back to school, and acquire newer, fancier, worthless degrees, but while he was in New York, he started telling jokes, and people liked it.

Now he travels around the country working clubs and colleges. He has appeared at Caroline's on Broadway and Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. His style is sharp, and high energy. He draws from his many and varied interests to relate to most any crowd. He blends New York cynicism with genuine Midwestern agreeability to present a different take on both the trivial and substantial aspects of life.

Stewart Huff

Rocketship Comedy is absolutely losing their minds because Stewart Huff is going to be headlining Flat 12 Bierwerks on Friday, January 29, 2016!

Stewart Huff was born in Campbellsville, Kentucky and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. He has been performing comedy for over 15 years, beginning when he decided to drop out of college to become a writer. Currently touring theatres, comedy clubs and special events across the country, Huff reaches past the norm for his genuine — and genuinely unexpected — comedy. His knack for embracing the foibles of humanity and his refreshing originality make him as likeable as he is hilarious. A storyteller at heart, Huff continues to amaze with his clever material and personal wit.

Huff has performed in comedy clubs nationally and internationally, including the Improv in Los Angeles and New York, the Punchline in Atlanta and the Funny Bone in Omaha, as well as countless others.

A finalist in the 2006 Boston Comedy Festival, Huff was also invited to perform in the HBO Las Vegas Festival, where his act can be viewed on pay-per-view.

He currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his girlfriend. There he drops off the various items he collects while on the road, including an antique barber chair, countless vintage photographs, and an extensive collection of LP’s. She likes this.

He is featured in the documentary Road Comics: Big Work on Small Stages, which was released in Fall 2009.

Ben Moore began doing stand-up comedy in a small back room bar packed with drunk college students somewhere in the sleepy Midwest.

He's gone on to become a favorite on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show and continues to endlessly tour the nation's finest comedy clubs. He was a finalist in The Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, named The Funniest Person in Cincinnati contest, and he won The Funniest Person in Lexington. Ben has been featured on the WGN network and tbs.com and was a 2014 headliner of The Limestone Comedy Festival. Recently, his first CD, "Never Coming Back", debuted in the top of the charts on iTunes. On his WTF Podcast, Marc Maron called Ben a "very funny" and "talented joke-writer." We think you'll agree!

Jeff Schouela

Rocketship Comedy is excited to announce that Jeff Schouela will headline the Sunday Showcase on December 6, 2015!

Jeff nervously began his comedy journey in Toronto on July 4, 2004, in which he compared the excitement of amateur comedy to Asian Shakespeare. While he stopped performing that bit, Jeff hasn’t looked back, amassing over 1000 shows across North America. In 2012, Jeff shot his own comedy special as part of ichannel Canada's "No Kidding" series, and in 2013 he released his Comedy EP, "Awkward Silence", available on iTunes. But above all, his favourite comedy highlight to date is making someone in the front row laugh so hard, he vomited right on his shoe, an accomplishment few have achieved.
